Forsaken by FacundoDiaz Forsaken by FacundoDiaz
One more collab with my good friend :iconskillzombie:
I enjoyed so much working this piece out. It brought me back to my first steps on space art.

This was the starting point for me: [link]
So as you can see :iconskillzombie: made that awesome render, and I did all the rest: planets, color, contrast, brightness, the sun, the clouds, asteroids, all the trees, and shore rocks.

I used these stocks from Resurgere for the clouds: [link] [link]

Hope you like it! :D

What really makes this is that long streak in the sky with no "fireball" at the end, since it looks like the leftover trail of another metor that has already collided somewhere else. I do think the landscape around the explosion needs to be brighter and have more contrast against the shadows since an explosion in the dark is bound to really illuminate the surrounding area in bright orange. It could probably be as easy as painting in an orange, soft "colour dodge" brush under the explosion layer (unless it's been flatted onto the landscape already) which would brighten that area up nicely.
Anyway, it's a pretty well put together peice overall. Can't think of anything else to add =p

This truly is brilliant :'3 This urks me a bit though: I wonder what those planets are? This planet u placed the perspective from: is it Earth? It retains water, the way the entire view of this intrigues me and adds a long length of mystical; mysterious and yet so enchanting way of displaying a beauty of space and still features of a planet one could only hope to see within a closer range. I surely would not want to be amidst the chaos of the falling meteors, but the still motionless tranquility that skips and sinks between the shore rocks and the visible motion and direction of the smooth waters...it's too tempting... I still love how deserted the terrain of the planet appears and how the water ceases to provide room for more expectations. The meteors look as if they create life upon the dark and rough structure of the sand, rocks, and little bumps. The sun peeks a bit through the view of what appears to look like the view of the solar system even though i would know very well its not the entire system and enabling a morning sky through a nighttime sky... its truly a magical moment, one I have urge to feel the coolness the water feels when the winds stroke it and push its surface towards the shore... Feeling the ray of morning sun peeking through the large enticing planet's figure with its features barely displaying a similar appearance of that of this planet's... As I watch the dust and sand rise from the impact each grain scattering about only to gather by the reaction of the explosion and drift into the hands of the wind that i had felt only seconds before... Enchanted by each new source of light, each spark from the meteor that formed in wisps straying from the destruction of its birth near the crash site...
-phew-
I need to stop typing so much -___-
Long story short, this is just amazing x3haha I'd luv to add so much more elaboration(lol like that wasnt enought typing) to that entire paragraph, but I fear I'll kill ur brain cells, ur beautiful art-mater-piece-making-brain cells :'D

good work, both of you!
the lack of full reddish colours in the impact and the blueish trails really complement the soft scenery
