Random Concept 2

The main point of a picture should be 1.) to create a world where the viewers temporarily forget the one they're in, and 2.) to accomplish this with the delicate balance of speaking through the artist's own creative and technical style, without allowing technique to overwhelm concept.

I believe you have succeeded on both fronts. We are pulled in to a scene that makes us peer in closer toward the flock of winged creatures receding in the distance, and we immediately buy that we're in a landscape of alien or at least dream-like origin. Your technique is not over-rendered, which gives a dynamic sense of movement to the run of ridges and mountains in the distance. The setting sun(s?) beyond the horizon seem to portend something more than approaching night.
