Description

Hey guys, new work here! :)

I will speak about some things that are part of the backstory of this image. This work was a comission for a music band. those guys requested anything that came up to my mind with their music as an inspiration, and this is pretty much what I imagined. Everything went fine, the work was accepted, but unfortunatly the money never arrived... ;( I never had any problem like this with a customer, this was the first time, and trust me I have quite a lot of works done.
Im posting this work here because I think this big guy deserves some attention, scince i think it has a lot of effort on it, and second, but most important, to warn those guys from using this image... ;(

Anyway back to the main subject, let me know what do you think guys :D

Hope you like it!!!! :)

EDIT: collor correction adjusted :P

Whenever we set a goal, our greatest hope during that time is that we manage to accomplish our goals and perhaps even achieve more than we could ever even imagine. It could range from finding a lost treasure never seen by the eyes of man or any other creature, or it could be the responsibility of guarding something more precious than anyone or anything in this world. Once we find what we are looking for that certain something, we feel inclined to make sure that no one else takes this from us to perform whatever ill deeds toward our precious treasure. For us, there is nothing in this world or the other that could even calculate the level of determination flowing through our veins fueling us to do our jobs. No matter what the sacrifice, no matter the risk...we persevere until the end. The Artifact created by the very versatile and talented =keepwalking07, gives us a glimpse of that very sensation of accomplishment and victory that one would feel if they also succeeded into their quests and received what they had been searching after for so very long. Perhaps the very feelings he felt when creating this work of art.

One immediate glance shows that Keepwalking's trademark design and details is shown and fails to disappoint. The detail placed in each and every single curve and marking upon the large automaton is excellent. The various jagged shards and various cracks give a perfect emulation of years of age and unattended damage upon the machine's frame making it seem that much more real before the viewer's eye. The illuminated figure within the mechanical creature's waiting hands gives off a great ambient glowing effect that gives a faint but warm glow on the frame of the giant metal creature.

You can almost image the stoic machine traversing vast areas of land, creating thunderous stomps along its path. Its various parts and gears creak and whine with age and degradation as it makes step after powered step. Strong winds do nothing to stop is gait as it makes its way closer and closer to its goal.

Unfortunately, with ever piece of excellence created, there is always a flaw in every masterpiece. In the case of this deviation, some of the shadow effects near the center of the machine are lacking a bit of detail inside. Despite them being shadow effects, the ambient glowing of the artifact should give off at least a slight reflective outline on the inner shadow. In addition the upper fist of the machine has a few colors that could just blend a little better and appear a bit to solid. A smaller gripe than the shadow issue and could be easily overlooked.

Issues and small complications aside, there is still a lot to love about this piece. The sense of scale and depth of field still make it look great and the overall design is amazing. Great work as always, =keepwalking07 and always keep moving forward. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
